Black Clouds

Told the wind outside. . .
"Protect me from this storm."
I asked,
"Blow away these black clouds."
for I am afraid of thunder.

At night as I drift to sleep
lightening flashes in my dreams -
Memories of fright filled days
when violent storms
always stayed.
